    Role Overview

    The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer will report to the Manager – Maintenance and will be based in MLE. In this critical role, you will ensure that all planned and unplanned maintenance on the beOnd fleet is performed to the highest standards during the assigned ground time. You will troubleshoot and rectify any defects, ensuring our fleet remains compliant with all applicable regulations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

    As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you will:

    • Ensure that all maintenance activities on beOnd aircraft are completed during assigned ground time to the highest standards.
    • Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in line with the latest applicable publications and approved instructions.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve defects to maintain fleet compliance with regulations and standards.
    • Record all maintenance in the relevant logs and ensure prompt and accurate updates to the MIS.
    • Safely handle all company property such as spare parts and tools, ensuring items are returned to the store in acceptable condition.
    • Perform flying spanner duties when required.
    • Accompany aircraft during base maintenance and hangar inputs for major activities as needed.
    • Prepare and distribute detailed reports at the end of each shift to document activities and highlight ongoing tasks.
    • Provide proper handover to the incoming shift, ensuring all necessary updates and items requiring additional attention are communicated.
    • Coordinate with MCC, planning, and material teams to prepare for critical or major maintenance items in upcoming shifts.
    • Work closely with MCC and Technical Services Engineers for troubleshooting support and reliability monitoring.
    • Perform any other activities as required by the Manager – Maintenance in alignment with operational needs.

     

    Qualifications

     

    • EASA or MCAA (preferred) part 66 B1 or B2 AMEL (B1+B2 preferred) with at least 5 years’ certification experience and type ratings on A320 family of aircraft with CFM56/IAE V2500/P&W Pure Power/CFM Leap engines. Please note that CFM56 & IAE V2500 ratings are mandatory, P&W Pure Power/CFM Leap will be an added advantage.
    • English language proficiency of at least IELTS band 5.5
    • Excellent communication skills with all levels/different cultures, clear formulation, ability to listen.
    • Excellent understanding of technical documentation (AMM/SRM/TSM, etc.), applicable Part145/-M regulations.
    • Proficiency with major MIS is a must.
    • Ability to collect relevant information, apply clear/neutral judgement, set priorities, to take decisions.
